Paul Anka Put Your Head On My Shoulder

“Put Your Head On My Shoulder” is a single by songwriter and singer Paul Anka. Released in 1959, his version of the song did extremely well for the singer, snagging a spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
It was so popular, in fact, that nine years later the first cover of “Put Your Head On My Shoulder” was released by The Letterman, in 1968. It wasn’t quite as successful, peaking just outside the top forty songs on the same charts that Anka had topped almost a decade earlier.
The song would not be covered again on an album until 2001, when Good Charlotte provided their version for the movie Not Another Teen Movie. Two years later Michael Buble, who is somewhat closer to Anka musically than Good Charlotte, released his own version on his debut album that was well received critically.
